Bent on the destruction of the human race, the sinister underground organization, the Shockers, secretly plan to plunge the whole world into chaos. But the Shockers don't count on the revolt of two experimentally "reconstructed" human beings, The Masked Riders, who rise against them to thwart their diabolical plans. The first Rider fights to protect all that he holds dear, the second, crippled by a wasting disease caused by the Shockers' fiendish experiment, fights to uphold his own principles. Two years after The Masked Riders first do battle with the Shockers, a third Rider arises to confront them, known only as "Version 3". The arrival of the third Masked Rider will hurl our heroes into their most terrible battle yet and the fate of the world wil hang in the balance.
